Ozone Therapy: Non-Surgical Pain Relief & Healing

Ozone therapy is a safe, non-surgical treatment that uses highly reactive oxygen to stimulate the body's natural healing process. It helps reduce inflammation, relieve pain, improve circulation, and activate the immune system—making it an effective option for conditions like back pain, arthritis, and sports injuries. With minimal side effects and long-lasting benefits, ozone therapy is a powerful way to support your body's recovery naturally.

How it Works:

Think of ozone therapy like giving your body a boost of supercharged oxygen to help it heal faster and feel better. Ozone is a special kind of oxygen that has extra energy, and when it enters your body, it wakes up your cells and helps them repair damage, reduce inflammation, and fight pain.

What Does Ozone Therapy Do?

✔️ Supercharges Oxygen Levels – Ozone helps your blood carry more oxygen, which improves circulation and gives your cells the fuel they need to heal.

✔️ Activates Your Immune System – Your immune system is like your body’s personal repair team. Ozone tells it to start working harder to heal injuries and reduce swelling.

✔️ Reduces Inflammation & Pain – Many painful conditions, like arthritis, back pain, and joint injuries, are caused by too much inflammation. Ozone calms inflammation and helps you move with less pain.

✔️ Stimulates Tissue Repair – Ozone helps release growth factors, which are like tiny messengers that tell your body to start rebuilding damaged tissues, whether it’s muscle, cartilage, or nerves.

✔️ A Natural & Safe Treatment – Ozone therapy is non-invasive, meaning no surgery or long recovery times. It has been safely used for many years and has minimal side effects.

The Science Behind Ozone:

Ozone benefits are many, including:

Reducing inflammation: It can balance the production of inflammatory molecules in the body. Allowing faster recovery.

Increasing circulation: It improves oxygen delivery to the tissues, which is a key factor to healing.

Promoting cell growth and regeneration: It can stimulate cell growth and help damaged tissues repair themselves

Ozone is one of the most natural and healthful ways to reset inflammation and speed up recovery!

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about our services? You're in the right place!

What exactly is ozone therapy?

Ozone therapy involves the use of medical-grade ozone, a form of pure oxygen with three oxygen atoms (O3), rather than the two found in breathable oxygen (O2). It's used to stimulate a healing response in the body. The reactive nature of ozone is believed to help the body overcome hurdles to self-healing by addressing issues at a cellular level, reducing inflammation, and supporting tissue regeneration. It's often administered through injections into affected areas or mixed with blood before re-infusion during an IV. Its is part of our Signature IV therapy set.

What conditions can ozone therapy potentially treat?

Ozone therapy has been proposed as a natural supportive treatment for a wide range of conditions. Using ozone as part of our Signature IV set is a great way to reset an imbalanced immune system, get on top of acute colds or chronic infections, improve leaky gut and enhance nutrient absorption as well as jumpstart healing that could not continue due to poor circulation- as having appropriate oxygen is needed for all types of healing. Ozone is also used in musculoskeletal problems like neck and back pain, degenerative discs, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, and sciatica. It's also been explored for other issues such as vertigo, headaches, migraines, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff strain, knee pain, shin splints, ankle sprains, fibromyalgia, allergies, chronic wounds, diabetic neuropathy, chronic hepatitis, herpes infections, dental infections, macular degeneration, and some autoimmune disorders. Its ability to act on pain receptors also makes it a candidate for managing chronic pain.

How does ozone therapy work?

The mechanisms of action are multifaceted. Ozone can disrupt the cell membranes of bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeast, and protozoa, inhibiting their growth and propagation. It also stimulates oxygen metabolism, increasing the rate of red blood cell glycolysis, which leads to the release of more oxygen to the tissues and boosts energy production at the cellular level. Additionally, ozone can activate the immune system by increasing the production of interferons, tumor necrosis factor, and interleukin-2, which orchestrates subsequent immunological responses and ultimate improvement and rebalancing of inflammatory processes. Some studies suggest it also mobilizes stem cells to help repair damaged tissue, reduces inflammation in joints, and increases the levels of NAD+, important for mitochondrial function. Ozone therapy has been used extensively for over 60+ years in most countries, and we continue to learn more about its full benefits.

Is ozone therapy safe? What are the potential side effects?

While generally considered low-risk when administered correctly by trained professionals, ozone therapy is not without potential side effects. Because it involves injections, soreness, pressure, or slight burning sensations may occur but usually resolve within 24 hours. Some people may experience a flu-like reaction, known as a detox reaction or sometimes called Herxheimer reaction, which is considered part of the healing process, not an actual side effect. If inhaled, ozone is toxic and can cause coughing, nausea, and a burning sensation in the eyes- so our medical use never involves inhalation of ozone. If administered incorrectly, there can be dangerous outcomes, so all our medical staff has extra training on ozone use and safety.

How long does an ozone therapy treatment take, and how many treatments are needed?

One Signature IV therapy set takes about 1-1.5 hrs and consists of TWO IVs. Ozone is mixed with your blood for the first IV and infused over 20-30 min; the second IV is your custom high-dose vitamins and minerals infused over another 20-30min.

When ozone is used for injections the procedure typically only takes a few minutes, from preparation to completion. The number of treatments needed varies from person to person based on their condition, severity and individual response. The average range of treatments is about 6-12, typically within a short period and given weekly and sometimes twice per week. Generally, long-lasting effects are expected from ozone therapy treatments. It is important to consult with a practitioner to determine the most suitable treatment plan for your specific needs.

What is the difference between ozone therapy and Prolozone?

Ozone therapy uses a mixture of mostly ozone gas and oxygen. Prolozone, however, is a combination of ozone therapy and prolotherapy. Prolotherapy involves injecting a minor irritant, often a sugar, into damaged tissue. This irritant initiates an inflammatory response, stimulating the body's healing mechanisms. When combined with ozone, the effects are believed to be optimized, potentially leading to improved results. Therefore, Prolozone is a specific and more involved version of ozone therapy. This is typically used when the joint damage is more severe. Please bring in your joint images or schudule a consult to order your imaging so we can help you decide on the best treatment plan.
